MBTA Police Dispatch System Procurement

KKO worked with ATI Telemanagement to evaluate the completeness and accuracy of procurement documents for an MBTA Police turnkey law enforcement information system.

MBTA DORM Procurement

KKO worked with the MBTA to prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for a new Daily Operations Resource Management (DORM) system to automate daily crew and vehicle dispatch functions. KKO was responsible for the requirements analysis; preparing process analysis and data flow diagrams for key business processes; conducting an industry review; drafting a formal technical specification; and supporting implementation of the new system.

GO Transit Commuter Rail Contract

KKO assisted GO Transit with the anticipated procurement of transportation and mechanical services for its commuter rail network. KKO developed the specifications and request for proposal documents related to the procurement of information systems to manage the transportation and mechanical maintenance functions of the two separate contracts.

Capital Metro Farebox

Capital Metro in Austin, Texas, procured a new farebox system for their bus fleet. KKO assisted Booz Allen & Hamilton with evaluating the needs of farebox data users; the functionality and data provided by current vendor offerings; and vendor proposals for their ability to meet these data needs.

CTA Mobile Data Units

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) investigated the acquisition of Mobile Data Units for its paratransit services. KKO assisted MultiSystems, Inc. in the development of a needs analysis and functional requirements. KKO also explored alternative vendors and technologies and developed a recommended strategy for the CTA.

Worcester Farebox

KKO assisted Booz Allen Hamilton with the review and acquisition of the new Fare Collection System for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority. KKO was responsible for drafting contract language for the procurement and for conducting acceptance testing on the delivered systems.
